Kathy Tsatsanis, Ph.D.

Associate Research Scientist
Director, Developmental Disabilities Clinic, Yale Child Study Center

Research Interests

Dr. Tsatsanis' primary research interests lie in phenotypic expression, development, and outcome in autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Her current research assessing developmental trajectories, predictors of outcome, and syndrome expression including co-morbidity in ASD is federally funded (NICHD).

Dr. Tsatsanis has a longstanding interest in the assessment and clinical expression of ASD. She is also committed to clinical endeavors and serves as the Clinical Director of the Developmental Disabilities Clinic at the Yale Child Study Center. This clinic builds on a long tradition of research and service at the Child Study Center for children and adolescents with autism and related disorders and their families.

In addition to providing clinical evaluations, supervising pre- and post-doctoral fellows, and directing the Developmental Disabilities Clinic, Dr. Tsatsanis has authored/co-authored publications on assessment, neuropsychological profiles, and outcomes in ASD, in addition to several articles focusing on Nonverbal Learning Disabilities. She has been a contributing author to The Handbook of Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders and Lewis's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry: A Comprehensive Textbook.
