Associate Residency Training Program Director for Program Curriculum and Assessment
Dr. Siegel has worked in Public Sector Child Psychiatry since completing training at the Child Study Center in 1988. In this role she
served as Associate Medical Director of Riverview Hospital for Children and Youth from 1993-1995 and as Riverview's Medical Director and
Training Director from 1995-2006. Since 2006 she has served as Regional Medical Director for the Department of Children and Families. Dr.
Siegel began serving as Associate Residency Training Program Director, Riverview Hospital in 1995, and since 2006 as Associate Training
Director for Program Curriculum and Assessment. Dr. Siegel is also a Faculty Affiliate of the Zigler Center for Child Development and
Social Policy.
Dr. Siegel's teaching and research interests have included the effects of abuse and neglect on development and psychopathology; child
forensic issues; social policy and systems issues; foster care; and the treatment of severely disturbed children, adolescents, and their
families. She coordinates a year-long course for Child Psychiatry fellows, Child Psychology fellows, Developmental Pediatrics Fellows, and
Social Work fellows on Psychodynamic/Developmental Evaluations and Treatment.
