Family Support Service
 Med/IICAPS Med/IICAPS provides a similar range of comprehensive psychotherapeutic services to children with coexisting psychiatric and chronic physical illness and their families. Children appropriate for Med/IICAPS are those experiencing an escalation of their psychiatric symptoms severe enough to put their medical care and health status at increased risk and interfere with their treatment compliance. These children may be returning home after a psychiatric or medical hospitalization that was complicated by psychosocial stressors within the family or may be at risk of hospitalization. Med//IICAPS is sensitive to the challenges presented to a family by chronic illness and works with all family members to alleviate distress, improve functioning and increase compliance with medical regimens.
